Dreams and aspirations come from the infinite place where creativity dwells – the same place, I think, harnesses the inner potential and inner life of one’s being. When creativity sprouts – it’s like a lightning bolt being sent off at infinite speeds. Just when you think you have your ideas under control, storms (our fears) can come and steer you off track; therefore, leaving the concepts, ideas, and visions shipwrecked by your own fears.
In all the world’s glory, it’s easy to look out and begin to ask the questions, “when is it my turn?”, “when will the world be ready for what I have to offer?”, “why not me?” It’s easy to begin to fall victim to what the ‘self’ wants, needs and desires are and begin to feel restless. The whirlwind of thoughts consequently eating away at your motivation, leaving you paralyzed by your fears. When the going gets tough, the tough get going – as many would say. But what if your gear feels like it’s stuck in park?
Despite the anxiety of life, it’s important to consider the value of patience. With one step at a time – the whirlwind of thoughts will begin to calm and you can begin to explore the potential that comes from being patient. When observing the atmosphere and the life around – one must take a moment and watch the value of new life from a seed ‘perspective’. When planting seeds, it’s easy to put the seed in the soil – but to really sprout the potential of a seed you must take the time to water it; otherwise, it will never become plentiful.
It’s important to consider the value others have left written for guidance, as much still applies today. “Therefore, I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” Matthew 6:25-34.
We must begin to consider and ponder how our thoughts are inhibiting our potential. All of life around us is an example of how all creation can exhibit patience and become plentiful. A seed has its given time for germination, the earth has to rotate till we see a new season, plants grow up toward the sun and not down toward shadows. The laws of the universe apply to all of life and existence. They are dependent on each other for life. With too much of any one thing the balance will be thrown off and we would not see life.
We must take into account the balance of existence. Don’t let worry settle in and steal the plentiful reward it will harvest, don’t let the shadows of your past paralyze you from your potential. A new season will be upon you if just like the seed, we stay patient and consistent in our efforts.
Another word for worry is troubled; therefore, do not let your heart be troubled.
To help you be emotionally stronger, consider these 7 strategies:
1. Put aside things that are out of your control.
Don’t waste your power and energy on these things, as they will drain your needed creative energy. Do only what is in your control to do. Bring your own change, but don’t try to put the whole world on your plate. Your plate will end up being too big to endure. In the end, you end up hurting yourself, more than helping situations.
2. See past mistakes as opportunities for growth and training.
Learn from your mistakes and the mistakes of others; then let it go! When a situation arises that is out of your control, see the experience as a time for growth and take from it only what has helped you grow. Everyone makes mistakes and no one is exempt from them. Look at experiences at times to be kind, to forgive and grow in understanding. Empathy and compassion come from experiencing and the world needs more of these remarkable traits.
3. The past does not define you.
You are a life force in training. No label is ever placed on you, we place the labels on ourselves. Don’t minimize your potential by creating negative beliefs and thoughts. You are worthy of all good things and mistakes are opportunities to grow into a stronger person. The day you stop learning is the day you stay stagnant. Don’t be stagnant and get comfortable – desire greater things, greater potential and greater opportunities to rise above!
4. Complaining and criticizing has no benefit.
Words you speak, give life to your thoughts. Don’t speak words into existence that aren’t of value. It is not worth your mental energy or stress to bear words that only hurt you or others. Instead, make the situation better and speak life into positive words of change and growth. Put your emotional energy in the positive direction and not feed into the negative.
5. Do things to make your life better or create the ideal world in which you wish to live – not to impress others or get their approval.
Live for yourself first. Belief comes from within not from others. When you believe in a better world for you, then others can benefit from this world. Great ideas come from believing and sometimes other people may not completely believe with you. Once they see the difference you have made and they benefit from the difference, then you build momentum for change.
Living for approval from others only creates mixed emotions and confusion. When someone may not agree with you, you may change your mind and be steered into a whole different direction with no potential. Your ideas are of value and others can benefit from them.
6. Use your backstory to fuel your ideas and spark creativity.
Our life is full of backstories; background stories with situations or moments that have sparked change or brought hope. Your backstory has the potential to bring change or spark creativity. Meditate on moments when you felt at your weakest and on the times when inner strength was built. Focus on the energy that you felt in the midst of the change and how it propelled you forward; then apply that same energy building your ideas and creativity.
7. Be thankful for all life’s gifts and blessings!
Quiet your mind, close your eyes and focus on all you are thankful for. Don’t focus on what you don’t have or the things you wish you had. Focus on what you do have! All the tools you need to be successful are right here before you.
Any spark of creativity can only be manifest in the calm thankfulness of the NOW! Not the future, not the past – only in the presence of NOW! That is why it is called the present day, as it is a GIFT! Recharge your light, by focusing your energy on the positive blessings! Don’t burn out your light bulb on the negative feelings! Some things we have no control over and we just have to be aware (at the moment) to receive the gift of potential! We believe you have the ability to birth the potential you have on the inside.
Only then will you be reborn into victory, with the potential to overcome failure and adversity and rise above. You possess all you need and have the inner strength to propel you forward and achieve all that you were created to be – VICTORIOUS! Tap into your potential today!
