The new you.

Changing season’s marks a time when we could let go of things we no long need in our life: stuff, unhealthy relationships and emotions that may be weighing you down; such as anger, regret or anxiety.

It’s time for the old stuff to go and welcome new blessings to come into our lives. In this new season, we must fight for our ability to reach our highest potential, love and appreciate our inner being and embrace who we are.

Were there is silence, there is often ‘shame’ or ‘wrong’ feelings associated. The silence can kill our self-esteem and our desire to reach our highest potential. Don’t be focused on all the ‘wrong’ in your life – begin to focus on what is ‘right’.

We each possess strengths; we must capitalize on these strengths. Don’t feel shameful for the past, find the desire to change the present and the past will follow. Losses in life are a part of growing, maturing and becoming connected to the world. My hope for you is in ‘knowing’, ‘understanding’ and ‘finding’ the key to break your silence. Find strength in your silence and let it motivate your life.

The most powerful part of adversity is knowing. Find hope in knowing that you are a powerful being who can inspire change for yourself and others.

When working toward change, remember to take time out for yourself. YOU are important to YOU! Listen to your body, trust your intuition and live a balanced life. You have the power to maximize each day and reduce physical and emotional discomforts. Maintaining your health and having a balanced diet is important to maximizing your potential.

Associate yourself with those who think positive. Positivity is contageous, so surround yourself with those that help you see the bright side of things/situations. Find someone you can share things with or work through the same issues with.Knowing you are not alone can help with the healing process. It could be a family member, friend or spiritual counselor.

Begin to look at the big picture and be glad that your life isn’t boring. If nothing good or bad ever happened to you, there would be no growth and things would be pretty boring. Take everything that comes at you as a challenge and begin to reward yourself for overcoming the challenge – indulge in a box of chocolates, a massage, new video game or just relax and enjoy a break.

Use your inward abilities to focus on your needs. If you deny your natural needs it will slow you down. Turning inward too often, can begin to focus energies in the wrong place; sending feelings of resentment, frustration and anger you once had. Give permission for yourself to move slower, take more time our for yourself, enjoy life and take care of YOU!

Capturing a positive attitude is important to your overall health. When you take care of yourself and maintain a positive attitude you will find that people will find you more attractive. Remember to always smile and enjoy the simple things in life. This will radiate through your being and your energy will be felt by people around you. This 10-15 minute mind exercise, 2 times each day will help you to begin to focus your energies in a positive direction.

3-steps to the new you.

3-steps to the new you.

3-Step Mind Exercise:

* 1st step: As your mind begins to race with thoughts, close your eyes and begin to breathe slowly. When thoughts are negative, feelings overwhelm you or you have negative feelings that bring you down – Picture yourself physically pushing away these thoughts. In a deep breathe, begin with your palms up at your chest and begin to breathe out as you push (slowly as if you were pushing a heavy weight).

* 2nd step: As you push away all the negative thoughts, use words that evoke strength and success. Fill your thoughts with words that make you feel strong and in control. Fill your mind with positive affirmations. For instance, “I am loved” or “I am strong”. Believe that these are true.

* 3rd step: Take these positive thoughts into your life. Direct your thoughts. When you feel down or anxious; fill your mind with happy thoughts, a positive image or give yourself positive feedback to keep the negative thoughts from taking over.

This is an opportunity for you to take any negative thought and create an opportunity – an opportunity to rise above the circumstance and become victorious!

Now for a brain exercise: brainstorm your own ideas of how to turn negative thoughts into positive ones. Write them down.

Don’t focus on what you can’t do… focus on the ‘can’! This is a powerful statement and when you apply it to any situation you can change the outcome! Begin today and remember to love ‘yourself’!
